Twitter will only show verified accounts on its ‘For You’ page

Elon Musk has said that starting April 15, Twitter will only show tweets from verified users on its For You page.

The decision comes after the company announced it would “scale back” its legacy verified program and remove legacy checkmarks by April 1. The currently controversial blue checkmark is only available to Twitter Blue subscribers who pay $8 a month.

These are the latest Twitter features that were previously free for all users and restricted to Twitter Blue subscribers only. Musk describes these decisions as “the only realistic way to deal with swarms of advanced AI bots.”
