The vivo X Fold2 has been rumored for over a month, but today the company finally confirmed the smartphone. Huang Tao, vice president of vivo, has revealed that the new foldable smartphone will be his Boao Forum’s official designated phone for 2023.
The new foldable device will be a demonstration of Chinese technology, design and innovation. Executives expect leaks and spy shots to emerge before the official announcement in April.

The smartphone is expected to have a 4,800 mAh battery with 120W fast charging. According to a now-deleted post by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the X Fold2 will also feature a camera with a Sony IMX866 sensor, OIS and V2 ISP. This means that the main camera is the same as the vivo X90 and iQOO 11 Pro’s 50MP shooter.
Other rumored specs include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and dual ultrasonic fingerprint sensors (one on each screen). This is a first in the foldable world. So far, manufacturers have decided to stick with sensors embedded in the power key.

vivo X Fold+
