Chinese mobile phone maker Tecno today announced that it has started production of the Phantom V Fold in India as part of its commitment to its ‘Make in India’ programme. Manufactured at his Tecno facility in Noida, it is currently capable of producing 24 million mobile phones per year.
The brand also announced that the Phantom V Fold will launch in India on April 11th, with early access sales on Amazon starting April 12th. The foldable smartphone will retail for INR 77,777 ($945/€870) in India, but this applies only to limited inventory and the brand has not disclosed the Phantom V Fold’s price in India. yeah.

The Phantom V Fold is Tecno’s first foldable smartphone, powered by the Dimensity 9000+ SoC with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage (we don’t know which configuration will come to India). Its FullHD+ cover display is 6.42 inches diagonal and the folding screen is 7.85 inches diagonal with a resolution of 2,296×2,000 pixels. Both are LTPO type panels with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,100 nits.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold supports a 5,000 mAh battery and 45W charging, and comes with 5 cameras. (32MP Selfie). However, unlike the vivo X Fold/Fold+, the Phantom V Fold does not have an in-display fingerprint scanner. Choose a side-mount solution instead.
