OnePlus has a reputation for offering premium features at affordable prices, and the company’s latest release, the Nord Buds 2, is no exception. Building on the success of last year’s Nord Buds, OnePlus has announced the long-awaited Nord Buds 2. Priced at just $59, these earbuds feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and an impressive 12.4mm driver unit.
The overall design of the earbuds hasn’t changed, but there’s one small difference. The only difference is that the earbuds’ touch control panels are color-matched. Additionally, the edges of the box have been chamfered for a smoother, more organic look and are easier to carry in your pocket. The earbuds are available in his two different colors, and the company has included a “surprise sticker” in the box to add an element of fun to the unboxing experience.

The new Nord Buds 2’s 12.4 mm speaker drivers remain the same as their predecessors, but with an additional layer of titanium on the vibrating diaphragm. OnePlus says adding this layer improves audio rigidity and clarity. Like its predecessors, the new earbuds continue to prioritize bass with BassWave Enhancement technology.
A standout feature of these earbuds is their Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology. The Nord Buds 2 feature ANC up to 25dB and also some modes such as the transparency mode typically found in his high-end TWS earbuds. OnePlus also says the dual-mic system has been optimized to ensure noise cancellation and crystal-clear call quality.
Other features of the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 include an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, Fast Pair support with OnePlus devices, Bluetooth 5.3, AAC codec support, and Dolby Atmos. When it comes to battery life, OnePlus promises up to 5 hours of playtime with ANC enabled and up to 7 hours without ANC. Combined with the battery in the charging case, you can extend your total battery life by up to 36 hours (with ANC disabled).
The OnePlus Nord Buds 2 come in two colors, Lightning White and Thunder Gray. The earbuds are priced at €69 in Europe, $59 in the US and $85 CAD in Canada. North American buyers can get their new OnePlus earbuds from the OnePlus website starting April 4th. The earbuds will be available on Amazon later this month.
