Sony WH-1000XM5 Midnight Blue hands-on

Sony’s WH-1000X series headphones have established themselves as one of the best all-around noise-cancelling headphones, and it’s been nearly a year since their fifth generation launched. The XM5 only came in black and silver colors until yesterday when Sony announced a new Midnight Blue version alongside its latest TWS earbuds, the WF-C700N.

You can take a quick look at the new Midnight Blue XM5 here today. The new color is a very dark shade of blue that can be described as indigo blue. They feature the same smudge-proof matte texture as the other XM5 variants, with copper accents on the Sony logo and carrying case zipper.

The retail package includes headphones, a color-matched case, a black USB-C cable for charging, and a traditional 3.5mm audio jack cable with an L-shaped connector. The earcups are painted midnight blue to match the rest of the headphones.
