Samsung continues to rush right out of the gate, updating its Galaxy devices with the latest patches. We’re only a few days into April and Samsung has already started rolling out his April 2023 security patch to phones. Today, US owners of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 appear to have started receiving the latest updates per SamMobile.
Owners of firmware versions with unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 4 should start seeing the update F721U1UES2CWC9. Similarly, if you have an unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US, you should see a firmware version update. F936U1UES2CWC9For the time being, SamMobile has spotted an update rolling out on the T-Mobile network. But as the week ends, other carriers should start picking it up.
Samsung posted its official security patch notes in April, giving us an idea of how many fixes the company is about to implement. At first glance, the April 2023 security patch contains about 66, most of which are classified as “High” on the priority list and four as “Critical.”
Some additional fixes also address some of the recent security flaws found in devices using Exynos modems and chips.
The Korean OEM’s foldable device is in its early stages in the US, but the company has been busy patching the Galaxy S23 series before April begins. A major camera update has been rolled out to the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra. It includes several improvements to video stabilization, low-light image capture, and more.
The update first appeared in South Korea, and more recently European S23 owners have started receiving the patch.
