iOS 16.4.1 and iPadOS 16.4.1 are now out with fixes for actively exploited vulnerabilities

Today Apple released iOS 16.4.1 and iPadOS 16.4.1 to the public. Apple pushes such updates to everyone at the same time, so your iPhone or iPad may already be telling you about their availability. This update contains fixes for several actively exploited vulnerabilities and should be installed as soon as possible.

A vulnerability in IOSurfaceAccelerator allowed apps to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges, and a vulnerability in WebKit could allow maliciously crafted web content to execute code.

iOS 16.4.1 and iPadOS 16.4.1 are now released with fixes for actively exploited vulnerabilities

In addition, this release fixes an issue where Siri would not respond in some cases, and adds skin tone variations to the push hand emoji.

It’s definitely not the biggest update, but it’s important to get it anyway to avoid exposing yourself to any of the aforementioned vulnerabilities.
