TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc d/b/a TTI Power Equipment (“TTIPE”) is seeking a full-time in-house intellectual property attorney position in its Anderson, South Carolina office.
TTIPE is a world leader in quality consumer and professional power tools and outdoor products, designing and developing products under brands such as RYOBI, HART and RIDGID. Responsibilities are:
- Manage product clearance and patent application preparation and prosecution
- Advise TTIPE business and engineering personnel on product clearance, patentability and related strategies
- Conduct invention mining and brainstorming sessions with TTIPE representatives
- Conducting Patent Clearance and Patentability Searches
- Manages a portion of TTIPE’s patent portfolio
- Conduct competitor monitoring
- Participation in the IP Steering Committee
- Providing support on patent licensing, enforcement and controversy matters
- Contribute to the optimization of processes and procedures

Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Licensed to Practice in the US Patent and Trademark Office
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a patent practitioner in a law firm and/or corporate environment
- Holds a Juris Doctor degree from a nationally accredited law school, is an active member of the State Bar Association, and holds good credentials
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Self-motivated, responsible and detail-oriented
