Patterson Intellectual Property Law, PC seeks associates with 1-5 years of experience in the field of intellectual property law, with specific experience in electrical engineering, computer science, software, or related industries. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Nashville, Tennessee. Patterson is open to flexible arrangements for office hours and working from home.
Required and preferred qualifications:
- Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, computer science, or a related field.
- Must be admitted to practice before the USPTO.
- Must be able to communicate complex matters verbally and in writing concisely and effectively.
- Advanced writing, comprehensive technical reading, communication and research skills are required.
- Experience in managing client portfolios, conducting and conducting patentability and freedom-of-manipulation searches, and presenting opinions on validity, infringement and enforceability is desirable.
- Experience with software patent prosecution and litigation is helpful.
- A strong work ethic and excellent leadership skills contribute to our team’s success.
