
Black holes hide many mysteries

Quantum computers that can simulate the exotic behavior of black holes and answer questions at the forefront of modern physics could become a reality in the next decade, according to one of the world’s leading theoretical physicists there is.
One of the long-standing goals of physicists like Juan Maldacena at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, is to unify the theories of quantum mechanics and gravity. Maldacena and colleagues believe that black holes may contain clues to the theory of quantum gravity.
