Best board to build on a budget?
As we’ve said many times, ASRock now makes quality products that are generally cheaper than their competitors while retaining most of the features. The ASRock B650 Pro RS is a great example of this, with DDR5, PCIe 5.0, 2.5 GbE LAN, and USB-C all included in a sub-$200 product. The compromise is that only one port, the Blazing M.2 socket, is actually PCIe 5.0 and the other two M.2 are PCIe 4.0, two of the three PCIe slots. The third is actually PCIe 3.0.
No RGB! But if you can’t stand that thought, there’s an RGB header.
FPS reviews are happy with the cooling of the VRM and MOSFETs, and they’re happy with the cooling of the M.2 as well. Its aesthetic is one that will appeal to those who appreciate a clean design and should be on your list if you are looking to buy any Ryzen 7000 series part.
