Get performance boosts and extra disk tools for free? I bet!
The solid core of SK Hynix’s SSD business is now called Solidigm and is made up of the SSD team they acquired from Intel, including someone you saw regularly on a podcast a few years ago. is included. Not just a hardware team, they’re also deep into software, and the Synergy software was well received as their proprietary NVMe drivers improve the performance of his Solidigm drives by about 5%. A toolbox that works with any of his SSDs was also a nice perk. Well, they just released his Solidigm Synergy 2.0.
Tweaktown was able to test with the value-focused P41 Plus and tested the 2 TB drive with and without the new software. We’ve had noticeable results with a 3% to 8% increase in performance for free. Additionally, the NVMe driver works on Solidigm drives as well as Intel drives, so there might be another reason to check that. If you don’t have either, Solidigm Synergy 2.0 has a variety of built-in tools and diagnostics that work with any drive.
