Ukraine’s Zaporizhia nuclear power plant is under Russian military control

According to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director-General Rafael Mariano Grossi, the Russian military’s continued occupation of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant creates a “very vulnerable and dangerous” situation.
“We’re lucky that we haven’t had a nuclear accident yet,” Grossi said in a speech to the United Nations Security Council yesterday. “We’re rolling the dice, and at this rate we’re going to run out of luck.”
