Pushing The AMD Radeon RX 7600 To New Frequencies

let’s overclock

AMD’s Radeon RX 7600 release received mixed reviews thanks to its 8GB rebellion. If you don’t consider his 8GB of VRAM some kind of heresy and are considering it in your build, check out The FPS Review’s article on overclocking your card. They chose to use the latest Radeon drivers to perform their overclocks, so there’s a good chance they could replicate their findings.

The first step was to give more power to the GPU, which peaked out at a 12% increase in driver power. Not as high as you’d like, but safe enough. The same applies to both memory and GPU frequencies, which also impose a slightly lower hard limit than expected. RAM tops out at 2400MHz, which is 150MHz higher than default, but GPU he can only boost 100MHz, pushing up to 3GHz.

Overlock had a small positive effect on performance and the card was perfectly stable. The Radeon RX 7600 may not offer as many overclocks as you’d hope, but if you’re looking for a stable overclock that’s easy to implement, this card could be a good choice.
