SFF system with Ryzen 7 7840HS
The Ryzen 7 7840HS is a mobile chip, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be used for other things. The Beelink GTR7 isn’t a laptop, but that doesn’t mean the Zen 4 mobile chip can’t fit into his 6.6″ x 4.7″ x 1.9″ chassis. Beelink comes with 32 GB of DDR5 memory, 1 TB NVMe SSD and WiFi 6 inside. Plus, if that’s not enough, there’s also the even more powerful Beelink GTR7 Pro. The front has a power button, clear CMOS button, USB-A and USB-C USB4/Thunderbolt3 ports, and the rear has two 2.5GbE LAN ports, two USB-A 2.0 ports, and USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 There are two 10Gbps. port. Along with DP and HDMI outputs, it also has dual audio jacks, which is a pretty unique feature.
Serve The Home benchmarked against other SFF system suites and the Beelink GTR7 typically topped the charts by a wide margin. Its small size didn’t hinder performance either, with the system producing a very reasonable 45-46.5DbA at 96W full load. There was one small issue, AMD’s driver detection didn’t work reliably with this Beelink, and STH had to reboot at some point to get the necessary drivers.
The system will cost around $800+ when it goes on sale on Amazon, but should be available soon.
