A few years ago I set up a hoop-style greenhouse to extend the season and see what would emerge in the spring. I don’t know its name (I think it’s Pink Cloud Poppies) or how it got into the mountains where only sequoias and madrones grow, but here it is. Poppy flowers are beautiful and long-blooming. Especially with my pink roses, they self seed very well and make great cut flowers. This poppy grows dried poppy pods that are perfect for wreaths and floral decorations. Poppy seeds are so small that it is impossible to count them. 1/8 teaspoon of flower seeds. All flower seeds are grown, harvested and packaged chemical-free in Carmel, California.
