If you were having trouble connecting to Reddit this morning, you weren’t not alone. On Thursday morning, the site appeared to be down for many users, with complaints about the outage circulating on X. However, things should be back to normal after the issue was taken care of.

According to Downdetector, reports of the outage started just after 9:30 a.m. PT. Interestingly, this was after a previous incident affected users on Thursday morning, although that was a much smaller issue related to ads.reddit.com and has since been resolved. It’s not clear if that incident was related to the more widespread outage. The Reddit Status page noted that the site was dealing with “elevated error rates” on the frontend.

The site was having trouble loading for many users, including our own staff.
